What a fun thing to do on Election Day! We went to the kids school, American Leadership Academy, to see a concert put on by a String Performance Group that Parker is part of. They sing, dance, and play the violin. It was so fun to see Parker moving around while playing the violin (with song's memorized) when he has only played the violin for 5 months! He was so expressive and fun to watch. I can't wait to see more from him. He is our little future "Young Ambassador"!

Our little JCPenney model
I gave up trying to get Parker to wear this suit jacket almost a year ago. Today for family pictures he came down in it and said, "Hey Mom, don't I look like Dad?" It's all in their own time...

Parker's New LOVE

FINALLY, I have put Parker back in a gymnastics class. He was in one when he was 4 in Lufkin, TX through the Parks and Recreation department, and LOVED it. When we moved to Wellington, FL there was a gymnastics gym I took my kids to for a trial class and they paid absolutely NO attention to the boys. I was not going to pay ridiculous amounts of money to have my boys ignored. So, they have just done without. Well, in looking for a dance class for Ellery, I decided to take a look at the gymnastics gym down the road called Orlando Metro. When I asked Parker if he wanted to trial a class he couldn't say YES fast enough. He loves it...and I love it, too, because he loves it! A sport for my Parker to love! He gets to be on the rings, the parallel bars, the trampoline, and the floor. He says after 3 weeks he can "almost do the splits, and even he can't believe it." He asked me if he could go everyday. I told him in the fall he could be on the gymnastics team...he is so excited!

Mother's Day Poem

Mom, you are like RED because you love me.
ORANGE reminds me of you and me eating carrots.
You are like YELLOW like a bright star in the sky.
GREEN makes me think of your green thumb.
The BLUE always reminds me of you taking away my saddness when I'm sad.
Your like INDOGO because your like the nighttime sky.
VIOLET is you eating huge grapes with me.
Mom, you are like a RAINBOW because you make me happy when I'm with you.
Happy Mother's Day! Love, Parker
He also made me a bracelet with stones of all the colors from the Poem. It melted my heart! I LOVE YOU, PARKER! You are such a SWEET boy!
